ANNUAL FLUSHING NOTICE
The York Water District is in the process of flushing it’s water mains. Annual water main flushing is necessary to maintain high water quality. In some cases, to get through sensitive areas, we will be flushing around the clock. While the District continues main line flushing you may experience low pressure and discolored water during this time. The York Water District wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

When will summer line meters be installed?
Our crews will begin installing summer line meters the day after Patriots Day
(April 20th, 2021).
Summer line meters will be removed on the 4th Monday in October
(October 25th, 2021).

TRUSTEES
The York Water District Board of Trustees has 5 members. Each Trustee is nominated and elected by York residents under the same procedure as the Selectmen but with 5-year terms. Trustees are eligible for reelection. The Board meets at 2:00 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. An agenda is published and posted at the Town Hall and at the Village, Beach & Cape Neddick Post Offices one week prior to each meeting. Anyone who wishes to submit a written request for future agenda items can do so by clicking here or may obtain the form through the District Office.
During each meeting there is a public comment period that is open to any member of the audience for comments on any District matter. All comments should be respectful in tone and should be directed to the Board President. Comments should be brief and to the point. Questions that require extended answers or that cannot be readily answered will be referred to the Superintendent for follow-up.
