In 2004, a partnership between the York Water District, Kittery Water District and the York Police Department was created to enhance the protection of local public water supply source water protection areas through dedicated year-round patrols. This collaboration established a robust framework for safeguarding the quality of our drinking water sources while promoting public awareness, environmental stewardship, and public safety.
