The York Water District has been approached by the Smartlink Group, a subcontractor representing New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T), to discuss a proposal to enhance cellular coverage in York. Smartlink Group was tasked with locating a suitable site to enhance both cellular coverage and capacity in an area of York with decreased network performance. The Water District’s York Heights Water Tank, located 5 Roots Rock Road, was identified as a viable location.

When will summer line meters be installed?
Our crews will begin installing summer line meters the day after Patriots Day
(April 20th, 2021).
Summer line meters will be removed on the 4th Monday in October
(October 25th, 2021).

TRUSTEES
The York Water District Board of Trustees has 5 members. Each Trustee is nominated and elected by York residents under the same procedure as the Selectmen but with 5-year terms. Trustees are eligible for reelection. The Board meets at 2:00 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. An agenda is published and posted at the Town Hall and at the Village, Beach & Cape Neddick Post Offices one week prior to each meeting. Anyone who wishes to submit a written request for future agenda items can do so by clicking here or may obtain the form through the District Office.
During each meeting there is a public comment period that is open to any member of the audience for comments on any District matter. All comments should be respectful in tone and should be directed to the Board President. Comments should be brief and to the point. Questions that require extended answers or that cannot be readily answered will be referred to the Superintendent for follow-up.
